Dear Brothers and Sisters,
In this renovation update, I want to share the new layout for our choir and music area.
As you can see in the drawing below, the choir and music area are located in the same space as before, but with a few modifications:
- The first two rows will remain open, flexible seating for parishioners. These rows will have individual chairs, not pews, which makes it easier to accommodate wheelchairs and other specialized seating when needed.
- The traditional pew frontal/modesty panel remains in place, with kneelers built-in.
- The piano and organ are turned to make it easier for the music director and organist to interact with the choir in their new location.
- The choir seating now faces toward the altar and can be used as general seating for parishioners when the choir is not present at a Mass.
- The flexible seating in the choir area makes it easier to accommodate instrumentalists and musicians at Masses as needed.
Color Palette for Marble, Stone, and Paint
This weekend, please take a look at the display in the PAC Gallery with the color palette for the marble, terrazzo, and paint that will be used in the church renovation.
The colors tie together and complement the existing terrazzo flooring and brick throughout the church.
Thank you again for your generosity that is making this amazing project possible! Thank you as well for your patience during the months we have spent in the PAC. We have less than five months left before returning to our renovated church!
Please keep praying for the Lord's blessings on our project. While things remain on time and on budget, we are relying on the Lord to guide everything to a good and beautiful end.
