Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I'm happy to share with you the many different opportunities for prayer that will surround the dedication of our renovated church and our return to our church home. Please take a look at the schedule below and the descriptions and notes that accompany each event.
Thank you for your continued prayers as we draw closer to the completion of our renovation project!
Sincerely in Christ,

Prayer Vigil in the Presence of the Relics of St. Victorian and Companions, Martyrs
(Parish Activities Center)
7:30 – 9p.m.
Quiet Prayer in the Presence of the Relics
The Rite of Dedication encourages the ancient practice of keeping vigil in the presence of the relics of the saints who will be placed in the altar. In the Vigil, we pray the Psalms and Scripture readings associated with the Martyrs, calling on their intercession for us. Tonight, on the eve of our dedication, we ask the intercession of St. Victorian and companions, North African martyrs from the 400s who laid down their lives for Christ in one of many persecutions of that era.
Wednesday, August 20
5p.m. Dedication Mass celebrated by Archbishop Lori
The Mass of Dedication includes the Consecration of the Altar and other ancient rites that invoke the Lord’s blessings over the church and the sacred furnishings, setting them apart for the worship of God.
Please note the following important details:
- Doors open at 4p.m.
- Approximately 1/3 of the pews will be reserved for various guests. All other pews will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. (Please be respectful of others and don't save pews for family members who have not arrived yet; it makes it much more difficult for ushers and parishioners to find available seats.)
- The nature of the Dedication Mass does not allow for a “standing room only” crowd. Various incensings and anointings require all of the aisles to remain completely open and accessible throughout the Mass. Thank you for your understanding!
- The Gathering Space will not have chairs in place due to the large procession of clergy, the honor guard provided by our Knights of Columbus, etc.
- The Mass will last approximately two hours.
- The Mass will be live-streamed on our usual social media channels.
